Lead of Sustainability Team, Coffee Island

Nikos Politis has been a permanent member of Coffee Island for the past 14 years, maintaining an external partnership with the company since its inception in 1999. Until 2010, his professional focus was heavily invested in the construction sector, beginning during his student years at the Design & Planning Department of Ch.K.Christopoulos ATE in Patras. Following the completion of his military service, he continued his collaboration with the company from 1997 to 1999 as a site engineer for public and private projects, and subsequently from 1999 to 2002 as a Site Manager and Head of the Project Department.
In 2003, he founded and managed Polis Domika company (Building Materials Trading & Specialized Projects), expanding its operations nationwide until 2009. Through this venture, he established commercial partnerships with all major industries and trading companies in the sector, executing specialized applications across a vast number of small and large-scale private projects, as well as public works subcontracts through a newly formed technical entity.
Parallel to his primary roles, he also served as a Partner Valuation Engineer for Citibank S.A. (1998–2006) and as a Consulting Engineer to the Board of Directors of the Trianteios Vocational School Foundation in Patras.
Since 2010, through his exclusive focus at Coffee Island, he has actively participated in every stage of the company’s scaling and growth. Throughout his tenure, he has successfully managed store and corporate facility design and construction, as well as new materials procurement and merchandising. Since 2019, he has held the position of Senior Manager of the Construction & P.M.O. Department, and since 2022, he has additionally spearheaded the Sustainable Development (ESG) Strategy for the Group.
